NOVEMBER
Members of the LGBTQ+ community and agencies in Prescott-Russell meet for the first time to determine how to meet the demand for services in the region. It is organized by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) and the Canadian Mental Health Association - Champlain East (CMHA).

WINTER     
Subsequent meetings identified two key needs: in-person groups for members of the LGBTQ+ community and resources to raise awareness in the region through education. The Social Committee is made up of volunteers, members and allies. The Education Committee is made up of advocates and professionals who care about the needs of their LGBTQ+ clients.
 
MAY
The first discussion group is held at the Oasis Recreation Centre in Hawkesbury.
 
JULY
At the request of the members, a Pride picnic is organized in Hawkesbury. The city authorizes the use of Confederation Park for the day.
 
AUGUST
Discussion groups are now held at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex in Hawkesbury.
 
SEPTEMBER
Our participation in community tables/kiosks starts with various events in the region.
 
SEPTEMBER
First youth group in Casselman.
 
OCTOBER
First social group with a Halloween party.
 

2018

APRIL
First training session, Introduction to Gender Diversity, intended for stakeholders and professionals in collaboration with Rainbow Health Ontario. Offered in French in the morning and English in the afternoon.
 
JULY
First Pride Week in Prescott-Russell. The Town of Hawkesbury flies the rainbow flag and announces the picnic on its electronic board.
 
AUGUST
First participation in the Capital Pride Parade in Ottawa with the group's banner.

First annual general meeting (AGM).

JULY
For Pride Week, the municipalities of Russell, Casselman, Clarence-Rockland, Hawkesbury, The Nation and East Hawkesbury raise the rainbow flag. The second Pride picnic is held at Confederation Park.
 
AUGUST

2020

MARCH
In-person groups are interrupted by the pandemic. Weekly virtual meetings are set up.
 
JULY
The Township of Alfred-Plantagenet installs a flagpole to fly the LGBTQ+ flag for the first time. Pride festivities are cancelled.
